INTRODUCTION
Chatting in Cyberspace and SMS (Short Message Service) are services that allows exchange of textual information and communication through the internet and by a mobile handset They both become part and parcel of many people's life as tecnology become more user-friendly. The proverb “Birds of same feather flock together” applies to the sender and the receiver very much. Wherever they come together, they have the habit of chatting for hours even on non-trivial matters. They become addicted to chatting and text messaging. However, these habits have numbing effect on the grammar and textual structure of the English Language. They usually write skeletal phrases and sentences when communicating . Words were abbreviated ("WL" for "will") and common phrases became acronyms ("by the way" turned into "BTW"). There are even dictionaries to sort out the meaning of, say, "AFAIK" ("As far as I know") but if it is unclear on which was meant, simply message back a "W" (what?) or "PXT" (please explain that) for clarification. Most vowels are truncated from words making them unreadable to the uninitiated In fact, as more people began using text messaging, the linguistic flavour is fast becoming bland.
