Lovers and Friends

why was those words left unsaid
all you would do is to make me wait
if they were on the tip of your mind
how would I know where to find
they could reside anywhere
or they could even be not there

if there is something in your heart
that’s keeping us apart
please let it out now
please say it aloud somehow
as it is now I’m afraid
things are spinning in my head
is your love turning to hate?

kind words of sympathy
open ears of empathy
a heart full of humility
and I will go with dignity
but why it is necessary
for us to part full of animosity
laden with enmity !!

if friends can be lovers
why can’t it be in the end
that lovers can still be friends ?
